Q. How Does the PhoneBridge
Work?
A. PhoneBridge is a high quality
audio device that connects between your computer's sound card
and a telephone. When you pick up the phone, it becomes your computer's
audio device.
Q. Can I Place Free Long
Distance Calls Over The Internet Using The PhoneBridge?
A. You can place free PC-to-PC
calls anywhere in the world, using services such as AIM Talk (ALO
Instant Messenger) MSN Mesenger, Netmeeting, Yahoo Messenger and
others. If you want to make PC-to-Phone calls, they are not free,
but generally cost much less than traditional long distance calls.

Q. Is The Phonebridge Simple
To Attach?
A. Yes! There are no computer
modifications required and no software to install. Simply plug
the PhoneBridge's cords into the sound card, and plug your speakers
and mic into PhoneBridge. Plug your phone line into the PhoneBridge
and start making free long distance calls over the Internet. Plug
and play doesn't get any easier than this.
Q. Can I receive calls
on Phonebridge?
A. Yes. Using any of the many
PC-toPC VOIP services, your computer will "ring" and
display a message on the screen, letting you know that someone
is calling. You answer by clicking "accept" on the screen.
Q. Can I dial from the
telephone?
A. No, you still dial from
the computer keyboard or screen. Phonebridge passes the phone's
DTMF tones to the computer, but none of the VOIP services recognize
the tones.
Q. Does The Phonebridge
Improve Sound Quality?
A. Yes! The PhoneBridge provides
superior echo cancellation and high quality voice clarity.
Q. Is there anything to
configure or adjust?
A. All you have to do is adjust
the speaker and microphone volume levels (using Windows Volume
Controls or the controls on your VOIP provider's screen interface)
for best audio. Once adjusted, you can leave the volume levels
alone.
Q.Am I Correct In Assuming
That I Need A Full Duplex Sound Card?
A. Yes! Most computers have
a full duplex sound card.
Q.Does The Phonebridge
Work With My Laptop?
A.Yes! Simply plug your PhoneBridge
into your laptop mic and speaker jacks. No computer modifications
are required.
Q. Does The Phonebridge
Work With My Mac?
A. Yes! You only need a a
computer with sound capability and external jacks for speaker
and microphone.
Q. Does The Phonebridge
Work With Cable or DSL?
A. Yes! The Phonebridge works
with dial up, Cable, DSL or wireless internet service.
Q. Is The Phonebridge Compatible
With All Standard Analog Phones?
A. Yes! Your PhoneBridge works
with corded, cordless, rotary, touch-tone and speakerphones. When
you select a cordless phone with attached headset, you can go
cordless and hands free.
Q. Can I Use The Same Phone
With The Phonebridge And For Regular Calls?
A.
Yes! Simply unplug the phone cord from the PhoneBridge and plug
it back into the wall jack.
Q. Can I Still Use My Speakers
And Microphone With The Phonebridge?
A. Yes! Simply plug your speakers
and microphone in the jacks on the PhoneBridge. When the phone
is in use your speakers and microphone are automatically muted.
When you hang up the phone, your microphone and speakers work
normally.
Q. Are All The Sound Drivers
Installed?
A. Yes! PhoneBridge uses standard
Windows sound drivers.
Q. Is The Phonebridge Compatible
With All Voice Over Internet Providers (VOIP's)
